This month, we completed our second small group cruise to Croatia an the Dalmatian Coast. We started with a 3-day land tour in Zagreb and continued on to Split where we boarded the luxury ship, the Aquamarin. One of the hottest travel destinations now is Croatia. The Traveling Professor has been visiting on his small group tours to Croatia and we have a trip scheduled for this year and 2 for 2019. Located on the Adriatic Sea, I expected the food to be more Italian than Mediterranean, and I was wrong. The coastline is staggeringly beautiful, the cities are ancient and exciting. In October, The Traveling Professor ran an inaugural tour to Croatia. It had been about 2 years in the making and it turned out to be a great success! The trip consisted of 2 nights in Split, followed by a week long cruise up and down the Dalmation coast on a small ship with 34 passengers. We get ideas on proposals for new places to travel all the time. Most of them come from travelers we meet at trade shows or on trips they are currently on. We are also approached by many different sources (mostly tourist board or tour operators) to run trips. A lot of new and exciting things will be going on in 2016, and we think it might be the biggest year yet for The Traveling Professor's tours.
