The Traveling Professor is on the road a lot.  I book a lot of hotels and a lot of flights. In doing this for over 10 years I have made many of mistakes.  However, I have learned from my mistakes. In this blog post I am going to reveal to you some great tips on booking flights and hotels, tips you will probably not find in any other blog post. Avoid these hotel and airline booking mistakes and travel more comfortably, with less stress, and probably at a lower cost.

One of my favorite tours is The Traveling Professor's Small Group Tour to Paris and the Normandy Invasion Beaches.   We have made several trips there as part of my regular tours and we were proud to run an exclusive tour for the National D-Day Memorial in 2017. The Traveling Professor takes his small group tours all over Europe and even to South America.  We come across a lots of different good food on our small group tours.  But  love 'em or hate 'em, our travelers talk about their favorite (or unfavorite) hot dogs. The Traveling Professor just got back from doing two small group tours to Iceland.  Our first group consisted of 14 travelers. Everyone who goes to Copenhagen loves it.  It's a clean and casual city filled with plenty of things to do. We like the restaurants, pedestrian walkways, good transportation, and friendly people.  It is a bit on the expensive side, but if you purchase the Copenhagen Card, transportation and museum admission (including Tivoli Gardens) is free. For me, the most underrated city in Europe is Oslo.  It has it all.  Beautiful scenery as it sits on the base of a fjord. The Viking history and culture is impressive. The Opera house may be the most beautiful in the world. The city is clean, never overcrowded and the tram transportation system is easy and makes it a pleasure to get around.
