The Traveling Professor Presents

Paris and Giverny, the Home of Monet

This is a delightful trip for those who have always wanted to see the sights of Paris.  The Eiffel Tower, Seine River Cruise, Notre Dame, Conciergerie, Rodin Museum, Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Orangerie, Montmartre, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysee and more.  Each traveler is asked for their input so that we can design a custom trip and make sure we see everything you want to see.  We also spend a day out at Giverny, the home of the famous Impressionist painter, Claude Monet.

 Look What You Get:
  • 7 Nights Accommodations in a charming, clean, comfortable, quiet hotel in a safe, central location.  We’ll stay in the heart of Paris, on the historic Left Bank in the midst of Parisian cafés, bistros, local shops, and historic sites like Notre Dame and Luxembourg Gardens. All rooms have a private bath, shower, hair dryers and free wireless internet connections. The hotel is the very popular Grand Hotel des Balcons awarded a “Certificate of Excellence” on  Breakfast is included.
  • Seine River Cruise. The Eiffel Tower and city sparkles before your eyes on this memorable evening cruise down the Seine River.
  • Professional Tour Guide Services.   Visit neighborhoods, gardens, parks, restaurants, cafes, arcades, markets only where Parisians go.  Michael Osman, a renowned Paris guide, leads the way.
  • Day trip to Giverny, the Home of Monet.  We travel by train from Gare St. Lazare, a subject of so many of Monet's works, out to Giverny.  Spend plenty of time in the gardens, step on the iconic Japanese bridge, and visit the studio and home of one of the most influential artists the world has ever known. It's like being in a Monet painting instead of just looking at one.
  • All Transportation within Paris. We go on our schedule using public transportation.  We don’t insulate travelers by herding them on one of those big bus tours.  See the real Paris with a small group of active and experienced travelers.
  • VIP Paid admission.  VIP, no-wait-in-line admission is provided to all sites on our itinerary.  Favorites like the Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, Napoleon’s Tomb, Arc de Triomphe, Conciergerie, Arc de Triomphe, Cluny Museum, Orangerie Museum and more with NO waiting in line.  Each traveler will be issued a 6-day Museum Pass.
  • Small group size strictly limited to 8 travelers.  Move around the city quickly and efficiently.  Visit places big tour groups can’t get to. Dine at intimate and authentic Parisian restaurants.   Small group size allows for a flexible and personalized itinerary.
