Of course we do small group tours to places like Paris, Rome, Dublin and Oslo. Those are big, bustling cities with mass transit systems, big hotels, lots of museums and restaurants. However, on The Traveling Professor's travels, we have found places that are tiny, off the beaten path places, that we just love to visit. Check out our favorite small towns in Italy, Iceland, Norway, that you have not heard of, but would like to.
One of the more popular Traveling Professor tours is his small group tour to Norway and Denmark. No matter how one travels to these countries, they will see some of the best natural beauty to be found anywhere. But if traveling by train and ferry, it offers special sights that can be found no other way. Read The Traveling Professor's blog post and find out why you need to travel to Denmark and Norway by ferry and rail.
After my initial visit to Norway, it quickly became one of my favorite travel destinations. Oh yes, everyone thinks it is outrageously expensive, but it is a lot less expensive than Iceland and only a little bit more expensive than Italy or France. In any case, Norway is full of natural beauty, cultural richness, good food and wonderful people. We now regularly offer a small group tour to Norway. Read my blog post and find out my favorite cities in Norway.
We have been on several small group tours to Norway - it is one of The Traveling Professor's favorite destinations. It cannot be beat for natural beauty. It is also rich in culture and history. We love the food there too. In our travels on our small group tours, we've found some great hotels and developed exciting itineraries. Check out today's blog post to learn more about traveling to Norway.
If you ask me, cities like Rome, Venice, and Paris are barely worth visiting during peak times. Our Traveling Professor small group tours avoid these cities in the summer and certain holiday periods. However, there are gems located all over Europe that can be visited any time of the year. Each has it's own charms for different reasons. On your next tour to Europe, try visiting one of these cities, even for only a day. I guarantee you will enjoy them.
Cold, expensive, nothing to do? That's what I hear from people when I mention they go on a small group tour to Norway. But since The Traveling Professor introduced his small group tours to Norway (along with Denmark and Iceland), it has become an extremely popular tour. Find out why people are willing to "Let It Go" and live their "Frozen" dreams on a tour to Norway.
We just got back from a small group tour to Copenhagen, Norway, and Iceland. Six of our days were spent in Oslo, Flam, and Bergen. Norway has plenty to offer travelers and in this blog post, I'll tell you what they liked the best. By the way, we will be offering another small group tour to Norway (plus Denmark and Iceland) in 2017. If not on our mailing list, sign up to get first notice of the tour.
We took 12 travelers on The Traveling Professor's inaugural tour to Norway and Iceland. We were blessed by good weather even if the temperatures were a little cool. With our adventure in Copenhagen and Oslo over, our next phase of the journey involved going to the fjords of Flam then over to the seaside in Bergen.
Last August, The Traveling Professor floated the idea of taking small groups of travelers to Norway and Iceland. Within a few days, the first tour was sold out. I added another tour and that was sold out in a matter of weeks. Norway and Iceland are two of the most exciting destinations right now and I am even more excited to be going on a small group tour to explore and enjoy these Nordic treasures. Take a look at the blog post to see our planned itinerary and follow our fun on The Professor's Facebook page.
