The Traveling Professor has been to both Paris and Vienna multiple times in 2016. Both of them are wonderful cities. I would visit any of them any time. But which one is better? Where would you prefer to travel to right now. In today's blog post I compare the two cities and let you decide. By the way, The Traveling Professor will be running small group tours to Paris in 2017 as well as small group tours to Vienna, Budapest, and Prague.
The Traveling Professor just returned home from our inaugural small group tour to the Christmas Markets of Bavaria and Austria. Ten travelers joined us for a over a week of Christmas scenery, foods, traditions and fun. We started our small group tour in Vienna, worked our way to Salzburg via Steyr, spent time in Salzburg and finished up in Munich. See the blog post for details on our tour.
When planning a small group tour, a considerable amount of research needs to be put into the trip before we can bring travelers to a destination. So this week Linda and I will be on the road putting together plans for several different trips. We'll be visiting Germany, Austria and Italy. For the details of our itinerary, read today's blog post.
This past December and January, The Traveling Professor toured Germany and Austria as part of doing research for his upcoming "Bavarian and Germany Christmas Markets" tour. I had the opportunity to spend some time in Salzburg, Austria. You know it as the home of Mozart and "The Sound of Music". We toured with professional and licensed guide, Michaela Muhr of Salzburg Experience who showed us a side of this wonderful city that we never thought existed. Not only did we see the major sites, but she introduced us to the wonderful people of Austria like shop owners, friends, and the charming people who make this small city their home. I thought it best for Michaela to tell you about Salzburg and today's blog post is authored by her.
The Traveling Professor just got back from almost 2 weeks in Germany and Vienna. Our visit was two-fold. Firstly, we have family members in Germany we wanted to visit. Secondly, we were hosted in part by the Vienna Tourist Board for the purpose of developing tours to Vienna. Check out my blog post to get the day-by-day highlights of our voyage to Germany and Vienna including the scoop on Mozart, German and Viennese food, sights to see, and the famous Christmas markets.
Every now and then I go on a "fishing trip" to check out possible new tour opportunities. The Traveling Professor just returned last night from a short holiday in Bavaria, Germany. Take a look at my blog post and see my recap of the trip and if "The Christmas Markets of Germany" will be a Traveling Professor Small Group Tour in 2016.
