Yogi Berra famously said, "Nobody Goes There Anymore, It's Too Crowded". We can apply the same statement to travel. There are some places we regularly travel to, but NEVER go during certain seasons. In today's blog post, The Traveling Professor explains the places to stay away from at certain times and better alternatives for travelers who do want to go away and actually enjoy their vacation without the pressing crowds.
Every now and then I go on a "fishing trip" to check out possible new tour opportunities. The Traveling Professor just returned last night from a short holiday in Bavaria, Germany. Take a look at my blog post and see my recap of the trip and if "The Christmas Markets of Germany" will be a Traveling Professor Small Group Tour in 2016.
We really do something special here at The Traveling Professor.
It is hard to believe that I have been taking people on small group tours since 2009. We started running strictly "budget" trips but as time went by, we kept upgrading and upgrading to the point where we use nothing less than quality 3-star deluxe hotels on all our regular tours, we have professional guides, limo pickup at the airport regardless of time of arrival, VIP no-wait-in-line admission. Our small group size lets us into places where no other tour goes and no guide book will tell you about. For instance, the ancient ruins you can get up close to an personal with in Rome, the restaurants only known by locals, the artisans in Florence that only WE get into to see, in Iceland we go off the beaten path for lunch at a dairy farm, and in Peru we hike the REAL Inca trail, not the one you always see on TV. To find out where The Professor is going in 2016 and to find out how you can come along, read today's blog post.
