The Traveling Professor runs several small group tours to Italy each year. We travel to major cities like Rome, Venice, Florence, Sorrento. We also take small group tours to Italy to smaller cities like Padua, Verona, Lucca, Siena, and Vicenza. Italy is not always the easiest place to fly to and fares can be high. In this blog post, The Professor shows you how to save a significant amount of money on your next tour to Italy with cheap airfares.
The Traveling Professor flies to Italy 4-6 times per year. Airfare makes up a considerable portion of my tour expense and if I can save anywhere from $200-$400 per flight, that amounts to significant savings. As you probably know, I use the website matrix.itasoftware.com to search for flights whether it be for my personal trips or helping those going on my small group tours to Italy. But there are some other tips for getting the best airfares to Italy. Read my blog post to find out how to save money on flights to Italy.
I was browsing through my favorite search engine for airfares on www.itasoftware.com and I came upon a $634.70 R/T airfare to Milan, Italy from JFK New York. At those prices, how could I go wrong? I will be departing New York City on April 2 and returning a week later on April 9. Although I travel to Europe many times each year on The Traveling Professor's small group tours to Italy, Spain, Paris, Peru & Machu Picchu, I could not pass up this bargain air fare for a personal trip to Italy. For my plans once I get there, see my blog post.
