Currency Exchange Overseas

Europeans are as likely to take dollars for payment as you are to take their currency, the euro.  Travelers on my small group tours to Europe and Peru always have questions on what currency to carry, how to exchange foreign currency and where to get foreign currency.  In this blog post I will give you some advice to take to the bank in dealing with money matters when traveling overseas.

An 8-Day, 7-Night Spain Itinerary

How to do a Day Trip from Florence to Siena

Traveling Professor in SienaEveryone loves Siena.   It is a Tuscan hill town about an hour or so away from Florence. It has a beautiful piazza, great food, and a Duomo on an acid trip (you'll see what I mean when you get there).   Whenever we do a small group tour to Florence, we like to take a day trip there.  It is easy to get to, a great way to spend the day, and has just enough to see to make it interesting.   Check out the blog post to see how I do my Siena day trip.

Lake Titicaca Boat Tour

Peru is a spectacular place with a tremendous amount of  diversity.  There are 103 different ecosystems in the world and Peru has 84 of them. There are 32 different climate systems in the world and 28 can be found in Peru.  It is the the most ecologically diverse country in the world.  There are jungles, cloud forests, deserts, glaciers, mountains, and much more.   Lake Titicaca is just one of those fascinating places in Peru that never fails to amaze me.   Check out the blog post to see what we typically do on one of our small group tours to Peru.

My Favorite Paris Restaurants

Paris WaiterOver the years, I have gained an appreciation for several Paris restaurants.   I like restaurants that are somewhat unique in terms that they serve dishes that I cannot get at home.   I also like to dine in restaurants where I won’t pay more than 35-40 euros for dinner.  I also like to eat in Paris restaurants that have good, friendly service.  Take a look at my blog and read about some of my favorite Paris restaurants.
