Segovia - A Day Trip from Madrid

Castles, Aqueducts, and Authentic Spanish Food

Segovia Traveling ProfessorI first visited Segovia in 1992.  I remember my first sight of Segovia being the impressive Roman aqueduct spanning the small city.   Underneath was the quaint Spanish town, filled with wonderful restaurants and narrow cobblestone streets.   The castle, straight out of a Disney movie, was a delight.  I returned earlier this year on one of my small group “preview tours” of Segovia.  In this blog post, I will tell you how I experience the Spanish city of Segovia.

An 8-Day, 7-Night Spain Itinerary

Madrid, Toledo, Segovia, Avila, Barcelona and Freixenet

In January of 2013 we ran a "preview" small group tour of Spain with nine travelers.   The Spain itinerary was a year in the planning.  The Traveling Professor took 2 individual "scouting" tours to Spain previous to the preview trip to make sure we could come up with a tour that our travelers would like, and Olé! - we did.  Whether or not planning to travel with The Traveling Professor on a small group tour to Spain or planning to go it alone, take a look at our sample itinerary for some great ideas about a trip to Spain.
