Here is the itinerary for our small group tour to the Amalfi Coast:

Tuesday, May 20
Our group plans to meet up and stay in Rome on this first day.   Our tentative plan is to meet in the lobby of the hotel at 1900 (7 pm) and go to a local spot for dinner.

Wednesday, May 21
Our train #9501 departs Rome Termini station at 845 am and arrives in Napoli Centrale station at 955 am.   Please keep in mind the train will not wait for us if we are late.  Boarding starts at 830 am.   The train station is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel, so it is absolutely imperative we leave to walk over at 815 am sharp.  I am probably going to take a smaller suitcase or a backpack for our 3-nights in Amalfi and store the rest of my luggage at the hotel.  Please allocate sufficient time to check out of the hotel and store any luggage.  Remember to pack original passports and copies and bring them with you to Amalfi.

Upon our arrival in Napoli, we will be greeted by our tour company with 2 limos.   It will take us 2 hours to drive to and tour Herculaneum.  We’ll stop for an hour for lunch.  We will proceed for another 2 hours with a stop for a guided tour in Pompeii.  Finally, we will check into the hotel in Sorrento.

Thursday, May 22
Pick up is at the hotel at 930 am for our Amalfi tour.  It is fully guided with stops in Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello.  We plan to be back at the hotel at 1730 (530 pm).

Friday, May 23
Pick up is at the hotel at 930 am for our full-day guided tour of Capri.   Our guide will meet us at the hotel, we walk over to the Sorrento port for the hydrofoil to Capri.   We are scheduled to return to Sorrento at about 1730 (530 pm) but you will probably have an open ticket to return anytime you wish on the hydrofoil.   Please check the hydrofoil schedule to see how late you can return.

Saturday, May 24
This is a casual day to shop or wander around Sorrento.   However, our limos will pick us up at 1330 (130 pm) for transfer back to the Napoli train station.   Our train #9550 departs Napoli at 1600 (4 pm) for a 1710 (510 pm) arrival in Rome.
