In 2019, The Traveling Professor presents an inaugural small group tour to Canada to include Montréal and Québec City.  Travelers will get from Montréal to Québec City by scenic, business class rail.  The hotels are some of the best in the world and the price of this new tour is outstanding.

The Professor's clients have been asking for this tour for years, and he is happy to present this small group tour to Canada, a tour that can be found nowhere else.

The small group tour starts in Montréal on Friday, November 1, 2019 and ends in Québec City the following Wednesday on November 6.  It's a short trip but so is the flight.

Here are the features:

Hotels:  In Montreal, we use the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth.  Newly renovated, this historic hotel is close to all.  Plenty of food options and it is conveniently located directly above the Montreal Central train station.  The rooms are luxurious but we get a great value with the strong US dollar against the Canadian dollar.  The Fairmont Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City is a hotel not to be forgotten.  Dramatically perched on the St. Lawrence River, it is perhaps the most photographed hotel in the world.  The only reason you will want to go home is to brag to your friends about all the great hotels you stayed in.

Itinerary: Since we only travel with 12-14 travelers, we can see and do a lot and get to places the other big tours simply can't go. In Montreal we have a walking tour of the Old City planned as well as getting to some of the other sites in town like Mont Royal.  There's plenty of time to shop and see the sights on your own.  Then, who doesn't like a scenic train ride? We go down to the train terminal via our private entrance and take a business class train to Quebec City.  It IS the way to travel.  Upon arrival in Quebec City, check into the fabulous Fairmont Chateau Frontenac, beautifully decorated for Christmas.  The hotel is so impressive, we even get a 1 hour tour to see the architecture and the Grand Hall, once compared to Versailles.  Quebec City seems more European than most cities in Europe.  We have a guided tour of Old Quebec followed the next day with a trip out into the countryside.
