People are always looking for Paris hotels with good locations.  They also want a Paris hotel that is a good value considering the hotel class and location.

Here are The Traveling Professor's choices for well-located hotels in Paris at a good value:

Hôtel du Champ de Mars. 3 stars. 7, rue du Champ de Mars; 7th arrondissement near the Eiffel Tower and rue Cler close to the École Militaire métro.  Now that the renovations are done to elevate it to 3-star status, grab a room here if you can.  At €120 or so per night, it is a good value. Hôtel Muguet 3 stars. 11, rue Chevert; 7th arrondissement. Close the shades at night or be kept awake by the lights of the Eiffel Tower.  If you must stay near the ET, this is the place for about 150-200 euros a night.  Website:  www.hotelmuguet.com.

Hôtel Tiquetonne. This budget, one-star wonder located at 6, rue Tiquetonne, it is within 5 minutes walking distance of at least five métro lines and three RER stations at the Chatelet-Les Halles hub in the 1st arrondissement.  All rooms are priced under €100.  Website:  www.hoteltiquetonne.fr.

Hôtel Prince Albert Louvre. For those museum snobs looking for a place to sleep cheap in a terrific location, this is the place to be.  It’s within easy walking distance of the Louvre, Tuileries, rue St. Honoré shopping, and the Opéra, this 2-star with rates from 90-170 euros might be in your future.  Located at 5, rue Saint Hyacinthe in the desirable 1st arrondissement.  Website: www.hotelprincealbert.com.
