Here are some of the restaurants you have seen featured in movies.
Polidor: Remember Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris"? Polidor is the restaurant where Owen Wilson's character Gil Pender meets up with Ernest Hemmingway played by Corey Stoll. On our small group tours to Paris we always eat at this left bank restaurant. Here is the webiste: http://www.polidor.com/en/. Here is a YouTube clip: https://youtu.be/PPDBtpMKzVA
Le Grand Colbert: Remember that scene at the restaurant where Jack Nicholson follows Diane Keaton to near the end of the movie? It's at the elegant Le Grand Colbert. Although we usually don't eat there on our small group tours to Paris, there is plenty of time for us to go in and take photos. The staff is particularly accommodating to us when we do so. Le Grand Vefour: An old standard in Paris, it is outside this restaurant where Cary Grant shoots it out with Walter Matthau in "Charade". See the website here: http://www.grand-vefour.com/. Parts of "Midnight in Paris" were also filmed here. Sorry, no clip for this one!
Café des deux Moulins: One of my favorite movies is Amelie. The cafe where she worked is in Montmartre and we regularly go there on our small group tours to Paris. Here's a clip for you: https://youtu.be/cT0bGB0eCpI
