The Traveling Professor just returned from doing two small group tours to Paris. Here are 3 picks for a bargain-priced lunch, with two of them being at some of the loveliest locations in the city.

Musée Jacquemart-André:  The tea room located in this museum is perhaps the most elegant in Paris.  Things run smoothly and efficiently here in this privately owned museum.   We had two meals here, lunch on a Thursday afternoon and brunch on Sunday. The perfect Paris Sunday brunch is a bargain at 29.10 euros and an a la carte lunch is probably less than that.  It is the rare opportunity to dine with class and style at a bargain price.  It is not necessary to purchase a ticket for the museum to dine in the tea room.  Reservations not accepted. Here is the menu: http://www.musee-jacquemart-andre.com/en/prepare-your-visit/cafe-jacquemart-andre

Musée d'Orsay: You have heard The Traveling Professor sing the praises of the restaurant at the Musée d'Orsay before. Although admission to the museum is required in order to dine, where else can lunch be had in the same building as some of the greatest artwork in the world by artists with names like Van Gogh, Monet, Sisley, Renoir, and more?   The deal is outstanding at 22.50 euro per person for a starter and main dish or a main dish and dessert.  I usually start with the gazpacho although there are other options on the menu like salads, foie gras, and pâté.   I love the risotto, others like the fish for the main dish.  However, there are many other choices including vegan options.  The desserts are heavenly, especially the Sundae Limoncello.  Reservations not accepted. Le Pré Verre:  The only lunch spot on this list not located in a museum, this left bank spot is the place where Parisians go for lunch. It's an old favorite of The Professor.  Not as elegant as the other two choices above, but a bargain nonetheless.   The lunch is a price-fix deal at about 16 euros.  It includes and includes wine, a starter, main dish, and coffee.  I have had the pork and risotto, blood sausage, filet de boeuf, and couscous.
