The Traveling Professor will be offering a small group tour to Spain in the Fall of 2018.  Here are his recommendations for the best hotels in Madrid, Seville, and Granada.

Review of Hotel Casa 1800 Seville:   I seriously doubt if there is a better located hotel in all of Seville.  Located along a leafy street of orange trees, not even a stone's throw away from the Cathedral, is the Hotel Casa 1800 Seville.  It's a 4-star beauty close to everything you want to be close to.  The rooms are classically rustic, imparting a feel for old Spain.  We love the pool on the roof as well as afternoon tea served in the courtyard.

Review of the Hotel Preciados:  I have stayed in this Madrid hotel three times now. I love the location just far enough away from the Puerto del Sol to be nice and quiet, but close to the action.  It is more modern in style and features a terrific restaurant.  I wake up an extra half hour each morning because I am so excited by the delicious breakfast served daily.  It is another 4-star recommendation that should be seriously considered on a trip to Madrid.

Hotel Casa del Capitel Nazari:  There is a lot to like about this hotel in the shadow of Granada's Alhambra.  First, it is located in the old town of Granada and fits right into the gusto and charm of Granada.  Service is terrific and the breakfast is out of this world. While only a 3-star hotel, I would not stay anywhere else.
