I get credit card solicitations all the time.  I throw most of them away.  However, the deal on the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card is unbeatable.  Not only have I really, really made money on this card, I am saving money on other things I no longer need to purchase.

Here is the deal and benefits as they relate to TRAVEL with the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card:

What's Required to Get the Card and Benefits:

  • Apply HERE
  • Pay $450 Fee
  • Spend $4,000 in First 3 Months of Getting Card

What are the Travel Benefits?

  • $300 Travel Credit:  When I made my first travel charge, they took $300 right off the top.
  • 50,000 Points:  When they are redeemed for travel, it's worth $750.  Really!  No blackout dates or restrictions either.
  • Priority Pass for Lounge Access:  People underestimate the value of this.  The Priority Pass Lounges not only provide a comfortable place to rest while waiting for flights, but they provide free food and drink.  Every time I visit I save $10-$20 on buying meals in the airport.  I bring my friends for free too!
  • Travel Insurance:  My travel insurance used to cost me $140 a year for health and emergency evacuation insurance.  EVERY TRAVELER NEEDS HEALTH AND EMERGENCY EVACUATION INSURANCE. It is included with the card.   It also provides trip cancellation and interruption insurance.  When my flight was cancelled due to bad weather, I needed to stay at the hotel airport overnight.  My room and meals were 100% covered.  That saved me about $200 right there.
  • Other Benefits:  Concierge service, rental card insurance and discounts on cars on hotels.

The card is also very liberal in accumulating and in spending points.  I love it!

I highly, highly recommend every traveler getting the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card.  It truly is a good deal.
