On The Traveling Professor's small group tour to Iceland and the Northern Lights, we'll be staying at the Holt Hotel in Reykjavik. We have a 5 night trip on the itinerary that will include the following:
Northern Lights Viewing: Since Mother Nature does not always cooperate (clouds, for instance) we will have the best chance of seeing the northern lights by going outside of the light pollution in Reykjavik every night of our tour until we do see the lights.
South Coast Tour: There will be enough daylight each day to go out on a private tour to see fantastic waterfalls and great geological wonders of Iceland. We'll see volcanoes, black sand beaches, and glaciers.
Holt Hotel Art Walk and Wine Tasting: The Holt Hotel is perfect for us with a large lounge with fireplace. We start off our tour with a tour of the famous Icelandic art and some wine tasting.
Golden Circle Tour: Another day out on the road to see geysers and waterfalls.
Blue Lagoon: Icelanders love their hot geothermal baths. We'll be out at the famous Blue Lagoon enjoy the baths in the sub-freezing temperatures.
Guide Tour of Reykjavik: This northern outpost is small but full of life. We'll get to know it with a small group private walking tour.
