Although about 20% of our travelers are men, more and more of our travel friends are women.  We do advertise mostly on women's travel websites such as the JourneyWoman website.  In fact, on several of our trips, tours have consisted of women only. We having women traveling alone, women traveling with daughters, women traveling with friends, and of course, women traveling with their husbands or significant others.

In any case, The Traveling Professor promotes women friendly travel and this is how we do it:

Small Group Tours for Women Only:  In the past, we have run tours for women only to Paris and to Italy.  In 2017 we have plans to run a women only tour to Venice and the Veneto region of Italy.

No Single Supplement Tours:  We will be running tours that will have no single supplement.  It's not possible to do that on all of our tours, but we try.   We don't give solo travelers a smaller room either.  They enjoy the same size room that those who are sharing a room.   In the cases where we need to charge a single supplement, we keep that charge at an absolute minimum.  We like our tours to be women friendly!

Our Tours are Safer and More Fun than Traveling Alone:   You know what they say, "Safety in Numbers".  Traveling with a group is safer than traveling alone.  Our women travelers are friendly and its more fun to travel with a group.   Remember, many of our women traveling with The Professor are just like you.  Many of them stay friendly long after the tour is over.

All of Our Tours are Women Friendly:  Even if a tour is not designated to be for women only, travelers can expect about 80% of those on the tour to be women.  We ask for input on all tours and design them with that traveler input in mind
