We arrived at London Heathrow on AA #104 this morning at about 8:30 a.m.   It was smooth sailing taking The Tube to St. Pancras metro, although it did take about an hour's travel time.   I am staying at the Tune King's Cross Hotel near the St. Pancras train station.   It is a super budget hotel.  It is spotlessly clean, everything is fresh and new, the rooms are bright and airy, and the staff is beyond friendly.   The Tune has everything you would want in a budget hotel and more.   Don't expect Big Ben sized rooms, but everything else is terrific.

After a quick nap to fight the jet lag, we set out for a stroll around the town.  We caught a bite at The Red Lion with a meal of Fish & Chips and Sausage and Mash.   Of course I downed a pint.   The food has improved markedly in London since the last time I was here 7 years ago.

We took the obligatory photos in front of 10 Downing Street, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and the Tower Bridge.  We relaxed at Leicester Square near the theater district and had a bite for dinner.

It's back at the hotel at about 9:55 London time and I am ready to hit the sack.   We have an ambitious day planned for tomorrow and I look forward to telling you about it.
