Coming from my background as a statistics professor (I was a full professor in the State University of New York for over 31 years), I found that about 85% of all travel decisions were made by women.  I thought to myself since women make most of the travel decisions, why not offer tours to Europe for women only.  

Why go on a women's only tour?

Itinerary: Speaking for The Traveling Professor's Ladies Only tours, we design an itinerary that is more fashion and culturally oriented.  For instance in Paris, we put the Louvre's Museum of Decorative Arts Museum on the itinerary and de-emphasize things like Napoleon's Tomb and the Arc de Triomphe.   We also add in chocolate tastings, more time for shopping, visits to fashion sites.

Women's Activities:   When we run tours that are not exclusively for ladies only, there is usually very little interest in activities like cooking classes or classical music.  On a women's only tour to Paris and Italy, these are always part of the tour.

Women like traveling with women:  It seems to me that women enjoy some time away from the men.  They appear to be more relaxed and comfortable.  I am always surprised by the restaurant selections they make - they seem to be higher end and they like to spend more time relaxing and enjoying meals.
